SUMMARY:
Grow Jacobsen, Cushman, and Allied product sales to the Golf and Pro-Turf Channels.  Meet and exceed sales goals set forth by management. Manage existing accounts and improve customer satisfaction. Conduct product demonstrations and attend trade shows. Successfully develop and grow long-term relationships with decision makers in an assigned territory.
  RESPONSIBILITES:
  • AR will meet and exceed annual unit and dollar sales goals by territory as determined
  • AR will increase brand market share through sales calls and providing product demonstrations with customers in the field.
  • AR will take the lead to organize on-site product training for customers.
  • Demonstrate strong product application knowledge and be able to communicate this knowledge to different levels of buyers and customers.
  • Develop a customer call plan that is customer-specific for visits to targeted accounts.
  • Will have responsibility for maintaining company-owned assets, which may include vehicles, trailers, and demo products. Must be able to load, haul and drive a vehicle with an attached trailer carrying the equipment.
  • AR will submit weekly reports regarding customer visits, customer comments and sales and territory activities as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
  • Marketing or Agronomy related field required.
  • Strong product and product application knowledge.

  EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1 – 3 years experience selling turf, agricultural or construction equipment or working in related field.

Operations: Private, 18-hole golf course. Ranked #1 in CT by Golf Digest. Designed by William and David Gordon in 1964 with recent renovations by Tom Fazio (7,455 yards). Winner of Board Room Magazine’s “Emerald Club of the World” Award for providing a world class member experience. Average annual golf rounds of 20K. Bentgrass greens, tees and fairways. Toro VP w/Lynx computer software controlled irrigation system. Grounds staff – 10 winter, 28 summer.

Responsibilities: To assist the Superintendent in all facets of golf course maintenance with major emphasis on fertilizer and plant protectant applications, irrigation system operation and repair, record keeping, staff management, daily course set-up and surveillance. Etc.

Qualifications: B.S. or A.S. in Turf Management or related major. Minimum of five years golf course maintenance experience. Candidate must know how to play golf. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are highly valued.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Medical/dental insurance, 401k, sick leave, vacation, Christmas bonus, dues for the GCSAA and MetGCSA. Meals and housing are provided on site, golf privileges.
