Operations: Metro Turf Specialists is an independent distributor of golf course and landscape supplies. We focus on customer service and have a strong presence in the NY Metropolitan area as well as LI, the Hudson Valley and CT. We are looking for a reliable Logistics and Customer Relation Director. You will work in partnership with the Sales, Marketing and Operations teams. The goal is to manage the entire order cycle, so as to enhance business development and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that our company logistics and distribution system are working effectively and efficiently. Explore processes and systems that can add value to the logistics and distribution process.
- Create and maintain an environment that supports Metro’s values.
- Coordinate drivers, vehicles, incoming and outgoing deliveries.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations.
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements, including federal and state regulatory laws.
- Assist sales reps with customer needs & product information.
- Work with our walk in customers.
- Communicate with clients, suppliers and transport companies.
- Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipment.
- Conduct regular safety audits on equipment.
- Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders.
- Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce.
- Workweek may include Saturdays (Half Day) April thru October and Emergency On-Call November thru March on a rotating schedule.
