Spring Brook Country Club: Golf Course Superintendent


Operations:  Spring Brook Country Club is a Walter J. Travis, 18-Hole member owned facility with approximately 17,000 rounds of golf annually.

Requirements: GCSAA member in good standing
• Possess bentgrass and poa annua turf knowledge
• Possess the business and professional skills necessary to manage expenses, while providing    
  tournament ready golf course conditions
• Golf Course Construction knowledge
• Updated on federal, state and local laws on golf course operations
• Strong leadership and management skills with club staff, including close coordination with the Golf
  Professional, General Manager and Green Committee
• Strong leadership experience
• Head Golf Course Superintendent or First Assistant experience required

Duties: Superintendent will be responsible for the supervision of the total golf course operations including, but not limited to:
• Provide a championship ready golf course conditions for the membership and guests
• Provide leadership at the executive level
• Provide guidance to the General Manager, Green Chair and Board of Trustees
• Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in extreme situations
• Maintain and manage all golf course owned properties; golf course, clubhouse grounds, pool area,
  entrance way, racquetball facility area
• Manage golf course team that will work at a high level on a daily basis
• Train and motivate a staff on a daily basis
• Manage accurate monthly and annual equipment, chemicals, fertilizers and seed inventories
• Prepare annual budget; make corrective actions when necessary
• Maintain a high volume used practice facility
• Establish a short and long-range golf course plan

Compensation: Head Superintendent will receive a base salary in addition to the benefits listed below:
• Salary ($ 115,000- $150,000, commensurate with experience)
• Annual Performance Bonus
